Your Wedding Journey with Gigha's Flowers – Scottish Wedding Florist
Share
Planning a wedding is one of the most exciting and personal experiences in life, especially when it comes to choosing your dream flowers. At Gigha's Flowers, we specialise in creating whimsical meadow-inspired arrangements whether that be for decorating your ceremony space, creating the personal flowers such as bouquets, buttonholes and corsages (not to forget the wee doggies with their flower collars!). I believe that every couple deserves florals that ooze luxury and beauty. As a Scottish wedding florist, I (unsurprisingly) cover all of Scotland, from the highlands to the islands and to all the wee nooks and crannies in between!
Here’s what your wedding journey with us looks like:
1. Initial Enquiry
So you found us on Social Media or a wedding fayre, or maybe it was through a friend. Good news, you have seen our style and like it, knowing that what we create is something whimsical and wild-flower-esque. How do we make it fit in with your style? Colour schemes of course! Our first enquiry begins with you completing our web enquiry form- its quite straight forward. From there, please make sure you make Emma@Gighasflowers.com a safe sender on your inbox as I will be sending you an email to book in your free consultation call. If you would prefer to just fill out the questionnaire that I would run through with you on the phone, the link will be embedded in my email and will allow you to type or select your answers on the tab that it opens.
2. Price Estimate and Budgeting
Flowers are a luxury and are quite expensive nowadays too. So what I would always say is upfront budget transparency will always be welcome! It helps me to create a vision to share with you that will not be out with reality. I will then send this rough breakdown to your email address and this is where we discuss if this works for you. Once we have written confirmation from you that you are happy to proceed, Bob's yer uncle, Fanny's yer Aunt- I will create a moodboard, official pricing estimate with our labour fees included as well as your deposit invoice- nothing hidden! If your goal and vision remains the same from this point till the point of your big day, we do say that prices listed on the estimate for the flower arrangements (not including labour/presentation fees) may increase due to fluctuations of flower pricing at our wholesalers- we cap this at 10%.
3. Moodboard and Deposit
When we agree on the estimated costs, I’ll get started on designing your custom moodboard. This will include floral styles, colors, and arrangements that match the aesthetic of your wedding, whether it’s a rustic barn in the countryside or an elegant castle in Scotland. Alongside the moodboard, I’ll send the invoice and final quote. To officially secure your wedding date in our diary, a deposit is required. Please note that your date is not guaranteed until this payment has been made.
Once your deposit is paid, your booking is confirmed! As your dedicated Scottish wedding florist, I’ll begin planning the specifics of your floral arrangements. This is when the magic really starts to happen!
4. Supplier Communication and Final Consultation
After confirming your booking, I’ll start liaising with my suppliers to ensure we secure the best seasonal flowers that complement your color scheme. Whether you're after Scottish thistles for a traditional touch or wildflowers for a bohemian feel, I’ll source all the necessary blooms and decorative elements. If we don’t have certain items in stock, such as vases or plinths, we’ll work with trusted suppliers to hire them for your special day.
Throughout this process, I’ll cater to your preferred level of communication. If you love being involved, we can schedule regular check-ins. If you'd prefer a more hands-off approach, you’ll hear from me around 1.5 months before your wedding for the final consultation, where we’ll finalise all the floral details. During this stage, I’ll place the final orders with my wholesalers to ensure the flowers are fresh and beautiful. Your final balance will be invoiced and will need to be paid no later than one month before your wedding.
5. Flower Preparation
As your Scottish wedding florist, I’ll personally visit my suppliers 3–4 days before the wedding to hand-select your flowers, ensuring they’re in the best possible condition. These will be carefully conditioned at my studio to ensure they bloom perfectly in time for your big day. If you’d like, I can send you a sneak peek of the blooms during this preparation stage—or if you’d prefer the flowers to remain a surprise, I’ll keep it all under wraps until the wedding.
6. Your Wedding Day
On the day of your wedding, I’ll take care of everything floral. From delivering your personal flowers—bridal bouquets, bridesmaid posies, buttonholes, and corsages—to decorating your ceremony and reception venues, every floral arrangement will be thoughtfully designed and placed to enhance the beauty of your chosen location. Whether you’re hosting an intimate Scottish elopement or a grand celebration, I’ll make sure your flowers are picture-perfect.
As your Scottish wedding florist, I understand the importance of flowers in setting the scene for your wedding day. From the moment you walk down the aisle to the time you say your vows, your flowers will be a reflection of your love and commitment, and I’ll be there to ensure they bring your vision to life.
